**Query 1

After much investigation, James Richard Jost I spoke to today, mentioned
that his father had died in 1960 .. do you think (he has not given me
accurate info – was going to check with his mother) he might be the son of
James Richard Jost below who died in 1957, 11 June ? The dates are close
enough and my grandmother Maria Louisa De Wet (nee Jost) came from that
area. It was never discussed with me when I was a child . do not know.??

My great grandfather JOST (I believe Nicolaas Douglas?) and great
grandmother STEWART had a few children (I know of 3) – (a)Maria Louisa,
Margaret and I think a George or James Richard?

Also have a grandfather who passed away and is also buried in Molteno S.A.
(Cape Town area near Graafff Reinett) and do so need to know details for
him. He was married before my grandmother (a) to another lady and had
children with her, but unfortunately no-one there could give me any info. I
think her name was Francina Meintjies? My grandfathers name was Tjaart
NAUDE. I have a picture of his grave in the Molteno cemetery but cannot make
out the dated inscriptions on it. He died young at about age 43 and his
birthdate was a December one. He was a blacksmith. Can you help? He also had
a deaf and dumb son who drowned at a teenagers age or a little older.
So there should be death or cemetery notices on this latter child. Any
ideas?
I feel like I am treading much water to no avail.
Can you help?
