I wonder if anyone out there has a connection to a bookshop who
could assist with a valuation on a book I have a chance to purchase.
It is a great big A4 plus size, about 2 to 2½ inches thick and in good
order called 'Annexures to Vote & Proceedings of the House of Assembly
Cape of Good Hope, 5th Session 1877" It is filled with wonderful info and
well known names appear - Southey (and for Mike Wattrus - there is
mention of Daniel PENN as Land Agent reporting from Junction Farm,
Peddie -could he be your Penn connection??)
Any help would be appreciated - feel it is too valuable to just 'die' in the back of
some bookshop in New Zealand which is where it will end up.
