Hi Steve and list
Thanks for your reply Steve. Yes, the Victor Stanley one is the one I would
be most interested in. If you do get a chance to go to the archives later
in the year, that would be great if you could get details.
In the meantime, is there anyone from the list that could do a couple of
lookups at the archives? I would also be interested in the following
MOOC 6/9/5625 66590 PEERS, BERTIE LOUIS. ESTATE PAPERS. 1939 1939
It was Bertie who found the "Fish Hoek Man" skull (dated at 1200 years),
with his father Victor Stanley Peers. "Bertie" was the maiden name of
Victor's wife, and "Louis" was the name of his father, so I am sure that
these two are the ones I am looking for - or is it all just too much of a
coincidence? I'm sure there wouldn't be that many Victor Stanley Peers
around; also the fact that there was a birth announcement in a Tasmanian
newspaper of the birth of a son in 1903 in Wynberg for "my" Victor Stanley
Peers - it all points in the right direction.
Regards
Shelley (Queensland)
