Subject: [ZA] Fw: COMMISIONED RESEARCHERS

Hi,
I received an e-mail enquiring payments to commissioned researchers and the
e-mail got lost in my internet site. I am not sure if the e-mail was from
Roma, but here goes........

Before I start I would like to put a mention of a big THANK YOU to the
following researchers who without them I would not have got as far as I
have. I am truly grateful for the work that TESSA, DEREK, WILLIAM, IAN,
and NICK did for me.

Also a big THANK YOU to all who gave information so FREELY, whose names
will fill this page so I hope they know how grateful I am.

The e-mail I lost wanted to know more about Commissioned Researchers
charges.

Fees can range from £5 to £10 a lookup or from £50 for a bulk of lookups.

Often it is nice to be able to pay fees into a bank in your country this
does not incur astronomical transfer charges.

However if this is not possible there is a money transfer MONEY GRAM which
last years charge was £12 for sending up to £100.

The only snag is when money is sent through Money Gram it is often paid in
the receiving countries currency and this is sometimes not accepted by the
researcher because they want US dollars or Sterling and not deflated
currency.

On one money gram transaction, this complication occurred when the
researcher went to collect his money from the Money Gram outlet they
refused to pay him in Sterling or US dollars hence he refused the money, and
I forfeited the £12 Money Gram transfer charge. Because I wanted the result
of the search we had to negotiate and eventually found someone who had a
bank account in England and money was transferred in the accepted
denomination.

However I have had two experiences where a bulk search went wrong, and I
hope never to be caught again. One commissioned researcher in England and
another in South Africa charged me top rates for ZERO results. I
begrudgingly paid the money and hope never to be in that situation again.

My experiences.
