Sharon,
If you have Microsoft Outlook, use the Calendar Appointment as your egg
timer. Set yourself a new "appointment" for some task. Say diner time or
supper time. There is a tick box just below a graphic of a clock. Put a
tick in this box. This then activates a reminder box to the right. Times
run 0, 5, 10 15 and 30 minutes then hourly and beyond.

Dear all,
A long time ago I read an article called When Television Ate My Best
Friend - it was a very sad tale about a young girl who would not go out to
play any more because her parents bought a TV.
I have always tried to channel my addictions away from mindless TV - and the
internet - until I started searching for ancestors. I'm sure there is
nothing negative about broadening one's horizons, but you know when your
feet start swelling because you've been sitting engrossed for 2 hours that
you're beyond helping yourself.
Does anyone know if there's a device on email servers or any facility on the
internet that can pop up every 20 minutes telling you to stretch and take a
break? If there isn't I'm going to patent one, together with an aromatherapy
bomb that goes off every time you hit the right key and an ergonomic mouse
that can transform into a back massager...
Seriously though, does the first facility exist?
Sharon
