Hi Christo
According to "Story of the 1820 Settlers" H E Hockly
it was 1820 John Hayter's son, john Samuel who
rendered distinguished services in the 7th,8th,& 9th Kaffir
Wars.
Dont know how accurate it all is though...
Kind regards
Lynn MacLeod
