In the past I've done my digging at the Archives in Roeland Street, and at the NGK archive near the Planetarium. The NGK info being withdrawn from the state archives causes much frustration as one has to hop between the two depots and there's all the hassle of making appointments at the NGK. I haven't been to the GISA set up in Stellenbosch - what are the benefits of undertaking research here?
