Hello,

Does anyone have access to a death notice index or estate notice index for
Cape Province? I have notes that I made 9 years ago from LDS films that
indicate there should be wills for Edward FORD as well as his sons John and
James. Edward died in 1843 in Grahamstown or Albany. His son, John,
drowned at the mouth of the St. John's River (along with his 14 year old
son, Edward). His other son , James, appears to have died in 1840. I have
tried the Cape Archives, but I'm coming up empty handed which I assume means
that I'm doing the search incorrectly. I would love some suggestions.
