Pam,

I tried the keywords Change and Surname for the years 1907 through to 1920
but no luck there either. In later years there are many, but the entries
contain no detail. It would be impossible to go through them all if you
don't have an exact date.

Newspapers sometimes published passenger lists of people arriving in port,
and I have had some luck with the documents 'Permission to leave the Colony"
that are also held at the archives. This case was almost a hundred years
earlier, and I don't know whether it was still in use in 1908.

Someone closer to the archives might be able to advise you about that.

Good luck!
