This was sent to me by my cousin who knows I am interested in genealogy.
Proud of their family the Smiths hired a professional genealogist to write the family history. One problem, what to say about uncle George who died in the electric chair? Author said no problem and submitted the following text,
"Uncle George occupied a chair of applied electronics at an important government institution, was attached to his position by the strongest of ties, and his death came as a great shock".
I had a good chuckle and wished I had the same ability when trying to write tactfully about some of our ancestors!
Enjoy your day
Tessa
