Thank-you Andrew I did not know that about the grave as it say it must be a
memorial but why were they there? Diane.

Paul Kruger died in 1904, in exile in Switzerland, never having returned
to Africa after going into exile, so I doubt whether the grave mentioned
is his. But there may conceivably be a memorial to him there or
elsewhere in Pretoria, and that would, I suggest, have been erected
after 1910 when the Transvaal ceased to be a British Colony. That may
help to date the letter.
