I took a look in DFDuT Malherbe, "Driehonderd Jaar Nasiebou - Stamouers van
die Afrijanervolk":

Thomas WHITE from Berwick Scotland m. Stellenbosch 7/10/1810 Josina Sus.
GOETS.

Eight WHITEs were among the 1820 settlers. Many Afrikaans descendants.

MD Nash lists the following among the 1820 settlers:

James (no age)
John (18)
Richard (40)
Thomas (29)
Thomas Charles (27)
William (28)
William (24) with wife Jane (25) and children Edward (4) and Richard (1).

In "British Residents" there is another Thomas WHITE, arrived 1799, married
Johanna Margaretha VAN DER SCHYFF. The children listed are Catharina
Wilhelmina, Thomas Samuel, Johanna Elizabeth, George John, Margreta Isabella,
and John Herman.

Best wishes
Keith
