Hi Pat

All you need to do to put it into either Word or Family Tree Maker is copy
the text. Open your email and highlight the text you want copied (you can
copy the name of the sender and date etc afterwards) and then paste it into
the appropriate document. You can then go back and click on the sender name
and copy and paste and do the same for the date and subject or just type in
this info at the top of your Word document or in FTM's notes page. I use
this all the time to paste info into FTM on the notes page for the relevant
person.

You can save the email but it will save as an .eml file in an appropriate
folder. Just click File>Save as and browse for your folder and click Save.
This stores the message in whatever folder you have chosen.

Hope this helps.
Tessa

That fascinating log of the Weymouth! thanks Sue. I would like to transfer
that info to Word or to Family Tree Maker.
I've searched my help lines and all they say is that I can export to
Microsoft Exchange I tried that but where did it go? Cant find a folder with
that name or anything!
And back in my memory is an idea that this question was asked before. I
haven't checked archives! Was it answered?
Pat
