Hi Spruyts,,
I am still catching up with 400 e-mails so am not sure if this has been
answered and after seeing Becky's guess had to reply. Waterval is the site
of a large dump in Jhb and is surrounded by the suburbs of Greymont,
Northcliff, Roosevelt Park, Montgomery Park, Sophiatown etc. It is
virtually contiguous with the West Park cemetery.
Regards,
David B

My guess is this is a named house or smallholding. I do not know of any
suburb of Johannesburg called Waterval.

But then I may be totally wrong. I searched on "WATERVAL" AND
"JOHANNESBURG" at http://www.national.archives.gov.za/index.htm and found
184
hits.

Keith
