Hi folks
Wishing you all a blessed Christmas and happy New Year.
May 2003 fulfill all your needs and wishes.

A sincere thank to each list member (and a big thank you to the list owner)
for all the sharing here.

My house smells of cinnamon and coriander, after the big bake today. The
leg of lamb is marinating (not from the Karoo, but from Kiwiland). There's
gentle snowflakes falling outside and I'm signing off for a few days.

Each year I look for a poem for Christmas. Here is what I found this year.

Christmas in South Africa

There is no snow lightly falling
Nor the sounds of trumpets calling
But the sun shines its light of gold
As African drums beat rhythms of soul

For South Africa’s Christmas time
With food and joy and song sublime
Is one of warmth and not of cold
Full of magic, a mystery untold

The lion bows, the cheetah plays
They all know this glorious day
And as all people gather together
They celebrate the birth of a Saviour

So don't forget that round this world
Many a person, boy and girl
Celebrates this wonderful day
In their very own special way
