A closer scrutiny of the atlas shows that. although not listed in the
gazetteer, the place is on the map and now appears without the S. It is
about 150-200 km north of Kimberley in what used to be a medium-sized chunk
of Boputhatswana. These spelling changes get me -- why couldn't those who
originally wrote them down get them right (look how Mafeking became
Mafikeng!)? But I am sure that it USED to be called TaungS.
