Lindsey Payne family (reportedly in the Cape Town area)? Or anyone doing

married Rufus Day born 21 Jun 1934.)

This Jack Lindsey Payne just HAS to be our John Lindsay Payne and his wife
Emily O'Connell's son - John Lindsay Payne born 10 Apr 1875 Beaconsfield,
Kimberley, Cape, chr. 30 May 1875.
John Lindsay Payne (born 1846 London, London, England died 3 Sep 1879 and
was buried the next day 4 Sep 1879 in duToitspan Cemetery, Kimberley. He
married 30 Jan 1872 to Emily O'Connell who died 21 Oct 1899. Her parents
were John and Anne O'Connell. His parents were John Linsay and Martha
Payne.
Their other children were Martha Carolina born 19 Nov 1872 died 4 Jun 1935
married Robert Alfred Lange-Smith in 1898. Edith Payne born 21 Dec
1877.Emily Payne born 3 Jan 1880 died Nov 1880 as an infant.
