I'm new to the list, but a subscriber from another list suggested I join this mailing list to gather more information.

I'm looking for any details pertaining to a WILLSON.

Willson was married to my GG Grandmother, Christina DENNIS m1 HENWICK, m2 WILLSON m3 LYNAR.

Unfortunately I don't have much information to go on except the unusual spelling of his surname. There was a farm called ROSEDALE that was apparently just outside Pietermaritzburg that is a connection to the family. Also I presume that Willson was in the armed forces and that he must have died while in action, hence the third marriage.

I have found a passenger on the Lady Bruce that sailed from London on 16 Feb 1850 and Portsmouth on 25 Feb 1850, arriving in Port Natal on 9 May 1850

However, I don't know if this is the correct person.

Have you got any suggestions what I should do to further my research?
