Dear Listers

Great news!

I have a friend in England who is very involved with genealogy. She and
over 2000 other volunteer workers are busy transcribing 100 million names
from the births, marriages & deaths indexes in England & Wales (not
Scotland) for the years 1837 - 1900. They hope to finish in the next 4
years. The website is www.freebmd.rootsweb.com. Last time I heard from
her, they had done about 25 million names. Give it a try.

Best wishes
Marion.
