Greetings Yvonne,
I am sure that Thomas Philips was from Ireland.

In my Boardman Tree
I have an Allen Bruce Philips.born1958 who married Yvonne Daphne
Scorgie . Their children are Bronwyn and Gareth.

John Crause b 1804 Ireland, married 1825 Sarah Hayes Boardman
born 3.Aug 1906 Ireland. They were married in Grahamstown
S.Africa by Rev. Thomas Ireland , witnessed by her sister Judith
Boardman and John's brother Capt.Henry Crause. (Maybe the leader
of the party)
Maybe we are also related ! !
Happy hunting,
Beulah Laughton (nee Boardman, direct descendant of 1820
Settler Party Leader, Rev. William Boardman.)
