Hi- I have discovered evidence but no proof that a great great uncle post
1880 was a minister who was in the mission field in South Africa. His name
was given as Robinson Israel Strayer by his niece but I have encountered the
names Robbie and Robert I. Strayer as well. His denomination could be one
of several as his brothers were ALL ministers as well- Methodist Protestant,
Methodist Episcopal, Baptist and later many of the Methodist Protestants
became Presbyterian. Any clues gratefully accepted.
