A search of the SA Archives on the single word
Rawbone
results in 342 hits (use the RSA data base). They start with arms dealing in
1858 and end with divorces in 1980. Look at

Best wishes

Hello all,
As a (fairly) lurking newbie it's time to put in a request:
Has anybody come across the surname RAWBONE in their researches?
I have recently learnt of a Samuel RAWBONE who worked in Kimberley, when
I do not know but assume it was around the turn of the century. I do
know there are some roads / streets called Rawbone in SA and would love
to receive any information you can share or help in any way.
Regards, and good hunting
