Dear Listers
Does anyone know where to look for a report about an accidental shooting. My grandfather's
half brother was shot when he was 8. An appalling accident on a farm near Port Elizabeth
(Greenbush I think) when an 11 year accidentally shot the 8 year old. His parents
were Joseph Potgieter and Hester formerly Heath, nee Delport. It happened in the
1930's. I tried NAAIRS but there was nothing. I think his name was Petrus, or second
name was Petrus, Potgieter. I remember my grandfather was anti-guns and he once told
me the reason was because of the accident.
