My thanks to Dennis Pretorious, Valda Napier and Heather MacAlister for
their suggestion
to search the Archives for a Death Notice for my grandmother. Not only have
I already done this but I have established through previous research that
there is no death notice (I assume because all her children were either well
over 18 when she died or there was very little - if anything - to leave to
them). This has been my problem - with no death notice and only a year and
a possible month to go on and no response from the Registrar's Department -
how does one
find a date of death?? I already know her date and place of birth, names of
parents, name of husband, date and place of marriage etc. etc. but I cannot
find her exact date of death. Any suggestions anyone?
