Hi Laurraine

Just thought you might be interested in this snippet of info, although I
know it was not you looking for descendants of the James family. In a letter
I saw yesterday at the PRO from Samuel James to Earl Bathurst, he was asking
for his twin sons to be added to his list of Settlers. The letter was dated
the 27/12/1819 and he says the twins were three weeks old yesterday, which
gives a birth date of 4/12/1819. According to him they were sure to live
although his wife did not have milk and could not suckle the babies.

Also here are the details I have on Eleanor King who was baptised on 25th
March 1824 but born on 22 May 1824 according to the baptism entry 411
Anglican Register MS 14 877/1 Cory Library Grahamstown. Her parents were
Joseph and Mary King. She also had a brother Elisha who was born on the 25th
August 1825. He was baptised on the 2nd March 1827 per entry 412 Anglican
Register MS 14 877/1 Cory Library Grahamstown. Not sure if we are talking
about the same Eleanor since the mother is mentioned as Mary and not Ann in
the registers.

I also have a John Henry Futter born 28th June 1860 died 20th January 1936
who married Sarah Benetta Lloyd born 3rd January 1872 and died 30 October
1961. This info came from the Lloyd info on the 1820 Settler website if I
remember correctly.

I realise that you are just sharing your James and King info but thought I
would just share with you what I have in my database.

Kind regards
Tessa King
