The site is the SA archives http://www.national.archives.gov.za/
Now you need to have someone go to the archives to look at and transcribe
information from the documents. There are professionals who do this - I
suspect a couple may contact you directly, based on your message to the list.
I could provide some names offline - send me a note.
By the way, these particular records are in Cape Town.

How fantastic, cannot believe this. What magical database do you have access
to?
Now I need a bit of guidance, what do I do next, how do I access these?

Tanya

Hi William
This is a long shot, but I wondered if you could make any connection to the
lists you looked through for Gavin. I have not been able to trace my great
great grandfather : William Anthony Diesel (d. 15 Sept 1924 in Uitenhage) I
wondered if you were able to get any info on his birthdate from your lists?
Regards
Tanya

Hello Gavin
I have looked through all of the published cemetery lists for P.E
and Uitenhage, but found only the following:
St George's Park cemetery, P.E., plot 182:
In loving memory of George Adams, who died Sept 8th, 1871, aged
57 years. also Ellen Adams, who died Nov 20th 1904, aged 84
years. also Charles William Casson, grandchild of the above, born
Dec 16th 1871, died Oct 24th 1872.
with best wishes
William
