Hi to all on the List.Will someone kindly help me? I live in
Melbourne,Australia and the distance is a problem.
Would someone please look up a record in the
Transvaal Archives for the Deceased Estate of William Presslie GRANT

Ref TAB MHG 8814 1906

William Presslie GRANT was a cousin of mine and I am trying to
establish if I have any blood relations still living in South Africa.
William originally came from Monymusk,Aberdeenshire,Scotland.
His parents,who remained in Scotland, were named Robert GRANT and Catherine
GRANT (nee CRUICKSHANK)
William died and was buried in Johannesburg in 1906.He was
aged 38.


I do not know the procedure regarding Deceased Estate files in
respect to a husband having died at a young age and his wife living on for
another 50 or so years.Would William's wife have her own seperate Deceased
Estate file?


William Presslie GRANT was married to Frances Kate GRANT (nee NORDEN)
Frances died about 1958.

transcription please.
