Hello, The way I found my RENNEY family in South Africa :- I posted a letter
on the S.Africa mailing list, asking some-one to send me a list of RENNEY
names & addresses from their phone books . Then I wrote a letter identifying
myself and who I was seeking, made copies of the letter and sent one to every
household on the list I had received. Did not receive an answer from every
letter but did receive enough to make family connections and it snowballed
from there. Not the conventional way to go , I realize, but I always heard
that there is more than one way to skin a cat. You do whatever works for you,
right?? Had tried everything else first and was at a standstill, very
frustrating!! We must realize that not everyone reads the mailing lists, so
we have to take a different approach to reach them.My good English Mother
always told me," Use your head, its not just a place to hold your hat!!" and
it worked.
Kindest Regards, Pam Renney McKinley at Mesa, Arizona, USA. via
Aldershot, Hampshire, England. [ always looking for RENNEY, U.K. and S.
Africa.]
