Hallo all (especially Mariska)

I do not wish to continue with the debate about the use, or not, of
Afrikaans as a discussion language on this group - I think the archives will
reveal enough about this subject. I also do not wish to respond to remarks
and statements made about me and my use of Afrikaans.

I do, however, need to offer my apologies to Mariska for replying to her
English e-mail in Arikaans. It was not intentional and it was not done to
make a "statement".

I regret that this posting opened an unnecessary debate that is not
conducive to the aims of this forum - genealogical research.

Maybe we can put the lid back on the can and leave the (proverbial) worms to
sort themselves out inside the can!
