Brian and list,
I hope there will be no further discussion on that.
Most likely the poor guy intended the answer to
the person direct but with some help from his
e-mail program it went wrong. This has happened
to me on several occasions.
I remember a newspaper article which I think was
about the farm of Tsafendas near Hartbeespoortdam.
There was a notice tha read:
"We have a serious problem with Baboons on this farm:
Due to the close resemblance between Humans and Baboons,
trespasers run a grave risk of being shot.
As jy nie kan Engels lees nie, is die gevaar nog groter!"
="If you cannot read English, the danger is even greater"
Maybe on this list it goes both ways!
regards,
Henry Abbott
PS. If anyone else saw this notice or can confirm it,
please let me know.
