Can anyone help me?
Frederick Charles Farmaner was drowned on or about 2 Feb 1878, at Cape Town. He was a first class passenger on the "Nyanza" and a verdict of accidental death was recorded.
According to the report in the Cape Argos, he was buried on 18 Feb 1878. But where?
Again according to the Cape Argos, he was in South Africa on behalf of his father in London, and had been winding up the affairs of Daltach and Co. of Port Elizabeth. Does anyone know anything about this company?
Wishing you all a happy new year
F C Farmaner is my great great uncle.
Sally, in the UK
