Hi Vaughan, let me try this one over again, guess I just chose the wrong
words, and I realize you don't have any connection, but need to correct
myself. I'm trying to work on the SCOTT family, my g.grandmother's(**)
line. There were 5 kids:
Julia
Louise
Mary Ann * 4/9/1849 Salem. x John SEILER
**Ellen * 24/10/1854 Queenstown or Cathcart? x John Henry FRANKLIN
John
It was either Julia or Louise who married a Jeffery, I don't know where they
were born or married, but if memory serves me correctly your posting on the
Digest mentioned Queenstown and it also listed the Transkei. I saw the name
JEFFERY and it attracted my attention. A descendant of Mary Ann's mentioned
the Jeffery's lived in the Kei Mouth area. If you don't ask you never
learn!!!! Sorry about the mix up.

Hi Vaughan, your letter on the digest, I see you have an Emily who married a
JEFFREY. In your searchings, do you have a JEFFREY who might have married a
Julia or Louise SCOTT, this is also in the Transkei, near the Kei River.
Rumor has it, one of these two SCOTT sisters born mid 1850's married a
JEFFREY. Any info you can shed would be welcome.
Thanking you,
Margaret Truter
