Hi Heather,

Came across WOOD names today whilst searching the Rootsweb South African
Archives.
CNIDR I search-cgi 1.20.06 (File: 23); 18 August 1997, title "Willie, ships
and Zulus". Shows a Richard WOOD, d 1839; Cape Archives
(6/9/14 3123). Also mentions a book published by William WOOD based on his
diaries.

Please note that I am just starting a search for a fellow named WOODEN.
Believe that a HURN(E)/HEARN(E)(ES)/HERN(E)? entered South Africa using the
alias WOODEN. Please do let me know if you should find any WOODEN gentlemen
in your research for WOOD.

Regards,
Dawn Hurn
