Beautiful page!. The few 'OOSTHUISEN's that you have listed in your
family tree seem to tie in with the 'OOSTHUIZEN' entries that I have
received from various sources.

Johannes O. OOSTHUIZEN, b. abt. 1648 in Gryskerk, Netherlands
Wife: Unknown...before 1651

Son: Johannes OOSTHUIZEN, b. abt. 1673 in Gryskerk,
Netherlands...married abt. 1698 in Drakenstein, Cape, South Africa.
Wife: Johanna MAARTEMS, b. abt. 1673 in Drakenstein, Cape. Wife's
Father: Unknown...born bef. 1654 in Gryskerk, Netherlands. Mother:
Unknown, born bef. 1658.
Son: Gerhardus OOSTHUIZEN, b. abt. April 27, 1703 in Paarl, Cape, South
Africa
Married: January 21, 1742. Wife: Magdalena NEEFF or NEEF, b. abt.
March 9, 1721 in Cape, So. Africa. Wife's Father: Henrik or Heinrich
NEEFF or NEEF, married abt. January 10, 1717; died 1727. Wife's
Mother: Dirkje HELMS

8, 1774 in Cape to: Hester Van BEELEN or BEULEN or BELLEN, b. November

May 3, 1716; married: Sept. 17, 1741 in Paarl. Wife's Mother:
Susanna PIENAAR.
Grandfather: Jan Jans Van BEULEN, or BELEN, or BOLLEN; married Nov.
26, 1719 in Cape. Grandmother: Anna VAN DER HEYDE

Son: Petrus Welhelmus OOSHUIZEN; born abt. Sept. 5, 1784, Cape.
Married: April 19, 1807 in Stellenbosch. Wife: Barbara Petronella
OOSTHUIZEN. (Note: They were Cousins!).
Son: Johannes Henricus OOSTHUIZEN; born abt. March 20, 1808 in
Uitenhage
Married: April 8, 1828 in Uitenhage. Died: before 1838
Wife: Thysina Germina KNOETZEN; b. before 1810 in Cape. Died: August
3, 1884

Johannes Henricus OOSTHUIZEN and his wife Thysina Germina had (?)
children. I have the name of two of their daughters:

(1) Hester Maria OOSTHUIZEN; b. 10 June, 1829. Married (1) ___(?)
WHITE in Uitenhage (?). Hester Maria OOSTHUIZEN was a Voortrekker
Woman. I have her story.
(2) Thysina Germina OOSTHUIZEN; b. August 24, 1835 at Uitenhage.
Married: October 12, 1858 at Cyhergat, Cape. Died: November 30, 1922
at Molteno, Cape.

I have a lot more info. on Hester Maria and Thysina Germina OOSTHUIZEN
and will send this to you later this week. Other families that may have
a connection to the above are: KNOETZEN; HELM; WILLEMSE; KOEN; MEYER;
VOSLOO. There is a connection to a Robert HURN but this one was
actually born WOODEN and assumed the name of my gGrandfather, Robert
HURN (and that's another interesting story.

There is a connection to the SHELVER/DICKASON family which is also in
my family line (through Thysina Germina OOSTHUIZEN).

I have a gr.Grandmother (Maternal) named: Dina Johanna OOSTHUIZEN or
OOSTHYZEN or some other variant of the name. She married Andries
Stephanus BENECKE abt. 1899/1900 in Port Elizabeth.

This can get very Confusing...Hope that the LISTERS can help us out with
more Info.
