I too have links with the Combrinks in the Cape.

I wonder if there is a link ?

My grandfathers sister Alice Maud Mary Newnum married Edwin William Talent
Combrink

His father was Pieter Adolf Combrink, who was married to Dolphina Rosina

I suggest you contact Mev. A. M. Swanepoel at Posbus 652,
Suider-Paarl, 7624. Phone No. 021/863 1689, Fax 021/862 1448. She has
comprehensive data on the Combrin(c)k, Groenewald & Swanepoel families and
is very helpful. It so happens that my own tree has a number of links with
the Combrink family. Unfortunately she does not have an e-mail facility.
