Dear Robin
I have no details of 18th or 19th century BANCILHONS but I have looked at
the current phone directory for Mauritius and see 16 people of this name
still in Mauritius. If you would like me to I will copy out the names
addresses etc. But please would you look for my Interest names in the South
African Directory. I have had no replies for my request for help with the
names DELVINSIDE, COMMINS or McGREGOR. I realise there maybe too many
McGregor to copy but if that is the case I should like to know that..
Whereas I would be surprised if there are any Delvinsides / Delvensides at
all but likewise it would be helpful to know. I was told there were Commins
in the South African phone directory but having promised to send them to me
my correspondant has disappeared..So I am getting nowhere ! ALSO I am
interested in any LLOYD family from Mauritius particularly connected to John
Augustus Lloyd who married Fanny Drummond McGregor in Edinburgh then went
out to Mauritius circa 1831. Is your Frederick Wm Lloyd likely to have been
born in Mauritius ? Let me know if you want the Bancilhons copied. Pauline
