Hi,
In todays E.P. HErald the following: About 100 squatter families have
invaded New Bright cemetery and will be allocated stands in Motherwell NU 29
next week. The first 50 families will be allocated their new sites on
Monday.
The Walmer cemetery has also been taken over and graves damaged. In Kenton
on Sea some of the stones have been removed to build houses.

One only has to look at the squatters who are desicrating the various grave
yards as they build their "homes" to see that the government is in fact
powerless to protect our graveyards - and "I feel that this is just another
ploy to get more income". If they were so worried about ALL aspects of SA
history - why then are they, at break neck speed changing street, building
and other names. ALL of SA history means the good, the bad and the ugly.
By leaving those old names it will be a stark reminder of the mistakes of
yesteryear and could stop further atrocities being carried out.

But then they say the sins of the fathers will be carried down to the
children.

Kind regards Jenni Leighton
