The preservation of municipal records is governed by the Archives Act.
These records are not kept with the municipality but forwarded to the
relevant repository.

The Town Planning department may still be able to help you locate the stand
numbers of the properties you are interested in and while you are there
perhaps you could enquire of the Records Officer exactly which records are
archived - where and for how long.
The Deeds Office may also be able to help out.

Good luck and please keep us posted on your progress.
