Well said Ann.
I think with the enormous diaspora of South Africans in the last 40 years
they dont have a hope of "taking" what we brought out with us.Many of us
have different citizenship status anyway. I wish now I had brought more.
I dont think the NZ museums are likely to give back anything brought back
by NZ contingents to the Anglo-Boer War!
Like you I would like to see the Archives given the boost it so sorely needs.
I wonder what actually prompted this extrordinary action?
