Subject: Accidental death - records
Date: Wed, 3 Mar 1999 09:02:42 GMT+0200
Family history has it that my great-great grandfather Jacob Venish
was killed in a brawl (or an accident) at the Port Elizabeth harbour
in the 1880s.
My question is could their have been some kind of inquest or
coroner's report and if so where would records of such an event now
be likely to be kept
