George Rex, illitegitimate son of George Rex III of England was banished
to the Cape and settled in Knysna. Most of the land there was given to
him. He married a coloured woman and had a large family. Some probably
still stay there. The family Duthie is supposed to be related. I once met
a person by the surname Rex working for the SAR in Pretoria. This was
about 1960 so don't know if he is still alive.
Neil.
