I have 49 manuscript volumes of Makin's notes, which formed the basis
of his book on the Salem settlers. They are all in English, and I
have the impression that this was the language in which he did all of
his genealogical work. He does not mention the book to which you
refer. I would have expected that, if it did exist, R.T.J. Lombard
would have included it amongst the many references in his book
"Handbook for Genealogical Research", several editions of which have
been published by the H.S.R.C.
