Gen Nostra, Vol. 53, No. 7/8 July/August 1998 contains an article on the
surname De Lange. It indicates that in about the early 1800s many Jews
with the surname Levy in the Netherlands changed their surname to de
Lange. That would be after the arrival of all our de Lange's at the Cape,
according to de Villiers/Pama, but some of you may be interested in the
article.

Does the GSSA exchange periodicals with this Society in the Netherlands?
Is the GSSA library open to the public? Does the GSSA library have
borrowing privileges for members by mail?
