I have my grandmother's cookery book. It is now coverless, with some loose
pages. My memory says that it was written by Mrs van Duyn, probably 1870-?
The paper is thick with the feel of blotting paper.
DoeS anyone know of this writer? My granmother married in 1882. The recipes
use enormous quantities of ingredients, eg 8 eggs for a custard!!
I have given her boerewors recipe to my local butcher. He (and others)
think it's great stuff for a 'barbie'
