I am researching Willem D Snyman 1858-October 26, 1916 married to Sarah =
Viljoen. In the book "Boer Settlers in the Southwest" by Brian M Du Toit =
on Page 25 he is called Commandant WD Snyman and on Page 27 he is called =
General Snyman. In his death notice in the New York Times he is called =
General. I am trying to find out if he truly was in a high leadership =
position. Are there records that could be looked at that might have more =
information about him and his family? If anyone can help it would be =
greatly appreciated.
