There is a write-up about Sir Joh Frost on page 168 of Volume IV of South
African Dictionary of Biography ISBN 0 409 09183 9. He got the K.C.M.G. in
1904 for recognition for his long career of public service. The Cape
archives has a copy of a portrait sketch of him by H. W. Schroder.
