Just to put in my tikkie's worth:

The 1810 Army List shows Robert Wood Baggot (sic) as a Lieutenant in
the 47th Foot (Lancashire Regt), having been promoted to that rank on
30 Jan 1806.

The 1830 Army List shows him as being on half-pay as a Captain in
the same regiment, having attained the rank on 30 Sept 1813 and being
placed on half-pay on 6 Sept 1816.
