I have a copy of the book DORP VAN DROME - MOLTENO 1874 - 1974 by Johannes
Meintjies ISBN 0 620 01123 8 Die Rustica-Pers (Edms) Bpk, Wynberg.

According to the book: 'Molteno het ook sy stamfeeste, soos die van die
gesin Marais op Zuurfontein, 'n plaas wat al vanaf 1858 aan hulle behoort,
en die Aucamps van Leeuwfontein.' and 'Die gemeente is reeds in 1881
gestig, met as leraar ds. J.F. Marais vanaf 1885-99 toe hy 'n beroep na
Dortrecht aanvaar het.'
