In response to Steve's message below I would just like to say : "Maybe there
is APATHY" but in my humble opinion IGNORANCE reigns". I for one do not have
a clue what a BBS is. I use a computer without half the time understanding
what or why I am doing it. I get "unsubscribed" from lists like this one
without evere knowing why. I struggle to get through to my service provider
to send/receive messages and when I do I get cut off for no apparent reason.
Again I do not understand why. If I ask my service provider why I am told
that it is my computer. Maybe but then why if in frustration I try the same
service provider but go to the expense of going through Durban or
Johannesburg I do not have the problem? So Steve and Colyn why not try and
"educate" us as to what a BBS is all about and maybe we will jump at the
opportunity of supporting one.
As I mentioned once before "I cast a fly upon the water and caught a fish"
and now thanks to Johan all of us have a better understanding of the
computers in the Archives.
Keep well and kind regards
Mike
