Hi Deirdre and David
I am also interested in the farming areas around Kimberley. The Cawoods and
Murrays were there around 1880 to 1915. On the baptism certificates I found
at St Crispian's Anglican Church for 1893 list the Cawoods from Vlakfontein
or Kareefontein, District:Herbert or Hay? The sponsors were normally YOUNG,
Allen Allicocke/Allen Charles/ Frederick Allen/Sarah/Mary Amelia.

David, I also have a copy of a De Beers newsletter dated 1958 which reports
the death of Leslie Cawood, son of Richard and Eleanor Cawood in connection
with St Edward's Anglican Church, Kenilworth, Kimberley. Did this church
exist around 1900? If I've searched St Crispian's records would I have
covered St Edward's as well?
